Mountain View Elementary School

I am Chandra Teague, and I am thrilled to be the new principal at Mountain View Elementary this school year. I am a graduate of The University of Georgia and Piedmont College. Since the beginning of my teaching career in 1998, I have taught at Gilmer Middle School and Clear Creek Middle School before moving to Mountain View in 2017. I am married to David Teague ,and we have two children, Will and Ellie.

As Assistant Principal, I am committed to supporting both students and staff in creating a positive, safe, and engaging school environment. I work closely with teachers to strengthen instruction, encourage student growth, and build a culture of respect and responsibility.

I believe that every student has unique strengths and the ability to succeed when given the right guidance and support. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is connecting with students and families, celebrating achievements, and helping overcome challenges.

My goal is to ensure that our school is a place where learning is exciting, everyone feels valued, and students are prepared not only for academic success but also for life beyond the classroom.
